The Seattle-based Web retailer released products on Thursday event in Loas Angeles varying in price from a $69 ad-supported ebook to the $599 best of the Kindle family, Kindle Fire HD, supported by 22 million movies, television shows, songs, apps, games, books and magazines.
Chief Executive Officer Jeff Bezos, who launched the products in Santa Monica, California, is retooling the tablets as users experience a broader variety of alternatives, counting new entries from Google Inc. (GOOG) and Microsoft Corp. (MSFT).
Its competitors include Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) that surged +0.76% to $681.41 with the total traded volume of 9.05 million shares and Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS) that dropped -3.56% to $11.64 with the total traded volume of 688,637.00 shares.
