Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has planned to open 300 to 400 jobs in the near future in France with a third logistics base in Chalon-sur-Saone, Les Echos reported, without mentioning the source of information.
Les Echos stated that Amazon selected Chalon-sur-Saone site over Beaune, both in the area of Burgundy. Amazon would initially rent almost 50,000 square meters of space and later create its personal center of almost 100,000 square meters. That would comprise of an investment of 40 million euros ($50 million), which could open 1,000 jobs, according to the newspaper.
