Earnings omitting reformation and other costs came in 34 cents a share. Net revenue declined to $834.4 million from a year-earlier same figure of $962.7 million. Experts surveyed by FactSet had predicted quarterly earnings of 19 cents a share.
Another rival company Apollo Group Inc (NASDAQ:APOL) trading up +8.16% to $18.43. Intraday trading recorded the stock price in a range of $18.10 to $19.63. In the previous 52 weeks the stock’s price ranged between $15.98 and $43.80. The current session’s volume of 9.23 million shares was higher from their average daily trading volume of 2.58 million shares.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) purchased indoor-GPS company WifiSLAM for almost $20 million, The Wall Street Journal announced late Sunday, referring to a person closely relegated with the deal who reported that it finished recently.
The takeover of the business arrives as Apple (AAPL) tries to catch up with Internet search company Google Inc. in mapping, the report added, signaling that Google provides indoor mobile maps of shopping malls and airports for Android phones but not for Apple iPhone sets.
