Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) Drops Samsung’s Galaxy S III Mini from Patent Violation Lawsuit; Extends Dropping Streak – AAPL, HPQ, DELL, CCUR

Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL), world’s biggest company by market capitalization, decided to drop Samsung Electronics Co’s Galaxy S III Mini from a patent-violation court case against the South Korea-based company, as shown by the court records.

The Cupertino, California based Apple reported in a filing in federal court in San Jose, California on Friday that it decided to withdraw the Smartphone from its lawsuit as Samsung assured the court the phone won’t be sold in the United States.

The filing, which tracks an August decision in the same court in Apple’s favor on other violation claims, comes in a second patent lawsuit between both technology giants, scheduled for trial in 2014.
