Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (NYSE:BBVA) Agrees to Sell Stake in Pension Fund; $530 Million Pact – BBVA, CIM, XLB, TZA, SPY, EEM, XLF, SAN, BCS

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (ADR) (NYSE:BBVA) reported on Monday that it has decided to sell its stake in a pension fund management company in Colombia for $530 million.

The Spanish financial services company Sociedad Administradora de Fondos de Pensiones y Cesantías Porvenir will acquire the stake that BBVA possesses directly or indirectly in the Colombian company BBVA Horizonte Sociedad Administradora de Fondos de Pensiones y Cesantías S.A.

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria reported that the total price shall be adjusted in view of its net income from January 1, 2013, until the ending date.

Its competitors include Banco Santander, S.A. (ADR) (NYSE:SAN) that slipped -0.50% to $7.98 with the total traded volume of 460,952.00 shares and Barclays PLC (ADR) (NYSE:BCS) that dropped -0.35% to $17.01 with the total traded volume of 319,652.00 shares.
