The Peoria, Ill based Caterpillar Inc (NYSE:CAT) reported on Wednesday that its board has supported a 13% boost in the quarterly cash dividend. The world’s biggest maker of construction and mining equipment company marked the major percentage boost in the dividend since the financial crisis of 2008.
The board of Caterpillar decided to lift the quarterly cash dividend by 6 cents to 52 cents a share. The company reported that the dividend would be payable on Aug 20 to stockholders and record at the finish of business on July 20.
The company marked the major boost since its board boosted the quarterly dividend by 16.7% to 42 cents a share from 36 cents a share in August 2008.
