Chesapeake Unveils Loans of $1.1 Billion- CHK, SD, DVN, CLNE, HAL, SWN, APA

Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK), announced earlier this week, will unveil to shareholders the existence of loans its CEO Aubrey McClendon obtained out against his interest in thousands of wells approved to him as a corporate perk, according to a regulatory filing on Friday.

According to Reuters on Wednesday that McClendon has borrowed to the extent that $1.1 billion against his 2.5% interest in wells received as part of his compensation.

Turning towards the investors who viewing CTAS against SandRidge Energy Inc. (NYSE:SD) surged +0.14%, Devon Energy Corporation (NYSE:DVN) lost -1.03%, Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ:CLNE) slid -3.26%, Halliburton Company (NYSE:HAL) dropped -2.03%, Southwestern Energy Company (NYSE:SWN) which also decreased -1.38% and Apache Corporation (NYSE:APA) slipped -0.69%.

Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK) dropped -3.11% or -$0.56 to close the trading at $17.44 following it hit intra day high level of $18.29. The total traded volume in the previous trading session was 28.24 million shares as compared to average 17.30 million shares. Its fifty two week trading range was $17.17 – $35.75. The total market capitalization reached $11.55 billion.

The stock price was ahead its 52 week low price with 1.57% and it lagged behind -50.65% from its 52 week maximum mark. Stock price volatility for last month remained 3.82%. In its share capital, the company has 662.50 million outstanding shares out of which 657.97 million shares have been floated in the market. For now, stock ownership with company’s management remained 1.25%.
