Cincinnati Bell (NYSE:CBB) Loss Shrinks but Misses Analysts Forecasts – CBB, TDS, VZ, CTL

Cincinnati Bell Inc (NYSE:CBB) announced on Wednesday that its loss shriveled in the Q4 of fiscal year 2012 as revenue hiked and it did not repeat impairment and revamping charges from previous year.

However, financial results of the company fell below analysts’ forecasts and its guidance was weaker than forecasted. Shares of the company tumbled 22%.

Net loss in fiscal fourth quarter finished Dec 31 shrank to $12.4 million or 6 cents a share, from a loss of $33 million or 17 cents a share in same period previous year.

The adjusted loss was a penny per share without items like the loss on the extinguishment of debt. Revenue surged 3% to $374.7 million from $365.3 million in previous year.
