Cowen Group, Inc (NASDAQ:COWN) has decided to purchase privately held Dahlman Rose & Co LLC, inserting the energy, metals and mining, transportation, chemicals and agriculture sectors to the boutique investment firm’s core areas.
The New York based Cowen reported on Friday that the purchase would broaden its sector concentration in new areas which it considers will be active for capital rising over the foreseeable future.
Core areas of the company comprise health care, technology, telecommunications, media, aerospace and defense/industrials, consumer and real estate investment trusts.
The company did not announce the all-stock deal. Cowen further stated that the deal is forecasted to finish at the end of the Q1 and is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory endorsement.
