Energy Sector 12th Time Drops on Oil Prices, Chevron (NYSE:CVX) Leads- CVX , XOM, COP, BP, OXY, ECA, TOT

Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) bounce back by 1.7 percent as crude oil prices dropped to approach the $91-a-barrel level on Friday, with losses in the broad equities market around energy stocks.

Conception losses in the energy sector for the 12th time in the previous 13 sessions, the Dow Jones Industrial Average moved down 73 points. Wall Street’s attention turned to the newest Greek debt worries and the blockbuster IPO from Facebook Inc.
Chevron plunged $1.68 to close at $98.46 a share, while Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) dropped about 0.5 percent.

Turning towards the sector Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) lost -0.54%, ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) fell -0.72%, BP plc (ADR) (NYSE:BP) moved down -1.07%, Occidental Petroleum Corporation (NYSE:OXY) surged +1.25%, EnCana Corporation (USA) (NYSE:ECA) which also increased +0.51% and TOTAL S.A. (ADR) (NYSE:TOT) moved up +0.27%.

Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) stock reports on May 18, 2012 slipped -1.68% to the closing price of $98.46. Its fifty two week range was $86.68-$122.28. The total market capitalization remained $194.23 billion.
