Caterpillar’s board is pacing up its quarterly dividend of 52 cents per share, initially to be paid in coming year’s first quarter, to Dec. 31. The building and mining equipment maker predicts the move would save stockholders near $30 million. The firm’s cash dividend has increased above threefold since 1998.
