Ford Motor (F) Resolving Negotiations with Canadian Workers Union

Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:F), moving towards deal discussions with the Canadian Auto Workers party, would intend to hedge a $15 an hour all-in labor cost gap against what the firm pays its US labors, as per reported by a top company executive.

Ford gives $79 per hour for wages and remuneration to its hourly workers in the country, the official reported, who gave the information on the basis of anonymity as discussions were private with the union.

That labor wages rate is the maximum Ford faces internationally and contrasts with $64 per hour in the US, according to that. Ford has almost 4,500 hourly labors at three vehicle and engine-manufacturing facilities in Canada, Kerri Stoakley, a representative, commented in an e-mail.

Its competitors include General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) that surged 2.09% to $20.01 with the total traded volume of 890,860.00 shares and Toyota Motor Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:TM) that moved up 0.63% to $76.36 with the total traded volume of 18,304.00 shares.
