Ford (NYSE:F) Starts Shipping of Electric Cars to Dealers- F, GM, TTM, TSLA, TM, HMC, KNDI

Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), the second-biggest US automaker, indents to start shipping its first electric passenger car to dealers coming weekend, according to people familiar with the matter.

Around 350 Focus Electric cars will be delivered to 67 dealers in California, New Jersey and New York over the coming couple of weeks. Manufacturing executives signed off on the decision on Friday.

Each dealer will acquire around six cars, one of which will be a demonstration model, the people reported.

Ford refused to comment on the news. The people requested not to be named for the reason that the plans are confidential.

Ford spokesman, Wes Sherwood articulated that they are still on track to commence shipping the Focus Electric current spring.

Turning towards the sector General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) lost -1.99%, Tata Motors Limited (ADR) (NYSE:TTM) fell -2.86%, Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) moved down -3.54%, Toyota Motor Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:TM) dropped -1.49%, Honda Motor Co Ltd (ADR) (NYSE:HMC) which also decreased -1.65% and Kandi Technolgies Corp. (NASDAQ:KNDI) slipped -2.93%.

Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) traded at flat to close the trading at $10.01 following it hit intra day high level of $10.18. The total traded volume in the previous trading session was 50.57 million shares as compared to average 44.24 million shares. Its fifty two week trading range was $9.05 – $15.11. The total market capitalization reached $38.20 billion.

The stock price was ahead its 52 week low price with 11.49% and it lagged behind -33.49% from its 52 week maximum mark. Stock price volatility for last month remained 2.55%. In its share capital, the company has 3.82 billion outstanding shares out of which 3.73 billion shares have been floated in the market. For now, stock ownership with company’s management remained 0.39%.

Ford presented a negative weekly performance of -5.39% with respect to its rate of return and it remained -13.78% for the month. However, the performance for a quarter experienced a negative change of -21.18% and it slumped -33.27% for a year and its year to date performance remained in red with -6.19%.

Current stock price is in the downbeat territory taking into account of 20 days moving average with -8.22% and continued bearish run for 50 days moving average with -14.73%. Its earning per share for the past twelve months was $4.75. Company’s beta coefficient was at 2.38. Beta measures the amount of market risk associated with market trade.
