General Mills (NYSE:GIS) and Nestle May Cut Amount of Sugar and Salt in Breakfast Cereals – GIS, K, POST, SJM

Reuters reported on Sunday that General Mills, Inc. (NYSE:GIS) and Nestle SA (ETR:NESR) reported that they planned to put lower the amount of sugar and salt in breakfast cereals at their joint venture vending outside of the North America.

The newspaper posted on Sunday that both companies have had a joint venture Cereal Partners Worldwide since 1990, which sells breakfast cereal in 140 countries outside the United States and Canada.

Both companies aim to shatter the amount of sugar and sodium in cereals popular with children and teenagers, according to the Reuters report.
