The step arrives among anticipations that Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) too would extend its roots into the “smart TV” market, to contend not only with arch rival Google and Samsung, but also Sony and LG.
Google’s TV release has faced headwinds in the US, where it released in October 2010. Logitech, n associate, shed millions following launch of a Google TV set-top box in the US at Christmas 2010.
