Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) Says Analysts Have Not Adjusted Forecasts – GOOG, SINA, CSCO, BIDU

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) on Friday announced that numerous Wall Street analysts have not adjusted their forecasts to show the impact of the sale of the world’s biggest search engine site owner’s Home business.

In December, the Mountain View, California based Google announced that it has decided to sell its Motorola Home unit to Arris for $2.35 billion. Motorola Home produces set-top boxes.

Chief Accountant of Google Brent Callinicos reported that the search giant will show results from that business as “discontinued operations” due to this deal.

Google’s stock fell in last trading session 1.3% to settle at $702.36. The world’s biggest search engine will announce fiscal Q4 results on Tuesday January 22.

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) last session’s volume of 3.23 million shares was higher than its average volume of 2.16 million shares. The stock after opening at $710.36 hit high price of $712.77 and then closed at $704.51 by scoring -0.96%.

GOOG generated revenue of $47.54 billion in the previous twelve months and earned $10.53 billion. The Company showed a positive 22.20% in the net profit margin as well as in its operating margin which remained at 27.00%. Company’s annual sales growth for the past five years was 29.01%.

The GOOG’s past twelve months’ price to sales ratio was 4.87 and price to cash ratio remained 5.06. As far as the returns are concerned, GOOG’s return on equity was recorded as 17.18% and return on investment increased 15.58% while its return on asset stayed at 13.29%.

The stock showed weekly downbeat performance of -4.79% which was maintained for the month at -2.30%. Likewise the negative performance for the quarter was recorded as -5.40% and for the year was 11.31% while the YTD performance remained at -0.41%.
