Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG), owner of world’s biggest search engine, has requested almost $4 million in return from Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCL) in the wake of the corporations charges regarding suspected intellectual property violations.
Oracle took legal action against Google in 2010, blaming that Google’s Android mobile phone software violated patents and copyrights that defend Oracle’s Java technology. But the resulting inquiry in San Francisco, which completed in May, finished with Google victory.
The Mountain View, California based Google mentions in a filing on Thursday that as the prevailing party it’s entitled to recover legal expenses.
Oracle’s spokesperson did not immediately react to a request for remark.
