Herbalife (NYSE:HLF) Revamps Board; Adds Two Directors Picked by Carl Icahn

Herbalife Ltd (NYSE:HLF) reported it plans to add 2 directors to its board selected by activist investor Carl Icahn, who has supported the company in its fight against hedge fund manager William Ackman.

Shares of the nutritional products company moved up 7.5% in afternoon trading session, as the news lifted “hopes that Herbalife will recapitalize, lift stock buyback and/or look to be acquired, S&P Capital IQ analyst Tom Graves reported.

Icahn also has the right to lift his stake in Herbalife to 25% from almost 14% presently according to the terms of the deal reported on Thursday.
