Home Depot (HD) Shuts Down Seven Stores in China – HD, LOW, NWSA, MGM, EBAY, SIRI, LCC, MWW

Home Depot Inc. (NYSE:HD), the US-located home enhancement seller, reported on Friday that it will shut down its rest of the seven big box stores in China and aim at Internet-based sales and specialty stores.

Furniture, paint and other home-improvement products sellers in China have been affected by an economic slump that has lowered housing sales, trimming demand from purchasers to equip new properties. The closings will bring about a shortfall of 850 jobs, according to the company.

Home Depot (HD) reported that it would keep hold of two specialty stores in Tianjin, a city east of Beijing, and is creating associations with Chinese e-commerce websites.

Its competitors include Lowe’s Companies, Inc. (NYSE:LOW) that surged +1.83% to $29.55 with the total traded volume of 199.62 million shares.

Other Services stocks with bullish trend include News Corp (NASDAQ:NWSA) up +1.40% to $24.70, MGM Resorts International(NYSE:MGM) up +2.30% to $11.54 and eBay Inc (NASDAQ:EBAY) up +2.30% to $50.00, whereas with bearish trend include Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI) down -1.01% to $2.45, US Airways Group, Inc.(NYSE:LCC) down -5.87% to $10.59 and Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:MWW) down -2.35% to $8.30.

The Home Depot, Inc (NYSE:HD) stock’s trade at beginning with a price of $58.72 and the current trading session climbed at a high of $59.71 other than the stock finally advanced +2.18% to $59.57.

Shares price of HD moved down from its 20 days moving average with -0.25% and remote positively from 50 days moving average with 0.05%. HD current year earnings per share experienced an addition with -27.11% while its current quarter performance remained 2.67%.

HD has a trade volume of 7.74 million shares is lesser as compared to average trading capacity of 7.98 million shares.
