The company presently expects EPS to be slightly more than the high-end of its earlier range of $1.00 to $1.04 for the 13 weeks finished May 4, 2013.

Stein Mart, Inc (NASDAQ:SMRT) on Thursday announced a 2.8% drop in similar store sales for the month of March, evaluated against a decline of 0.3% a year ago.
But, fashion merchandise retailer reported total quarterly sales moved up 4.3% to $133 million from $127.5 million a year ago.
Similar store sales moved down 1.5% in the quarter-to-date 9 week period, while total sales moved up 4.8% to $218.2 million.
Stein Mart, Inc (NASDAQ:SMRT) shares are down -0.43% to $8.12 while the stock is trading within the range of $8.10 – $8.15 in the current trading session. In the last 12 months the shares have traded between $6.02 and $9.34. The current session’s volume of 2,375.00 shares is lower from their average daily trading volume of 43,470.00 shares.
