JB Hunt, Hunts the Shares Up with Q1 Profit Rose 35%- JBHT, UNP UPS EXC KFT BHP MCD

Trucking firm J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. (NASDAQ:JBHT) announce on Thursday that its first-quarter net income surged 35%, on higher revenue and volume in its intermodal segment.

The firms earned $67.7 million, or 57 cents a share, for the quarter that ended March 31. That was increased from $50.1 million, or 40 cents a share, during the similar quarter previous year.

Revenue moved up 16.5% to $1.17 billion, from $1 billion a year before. It would have climbed 13% if not for the addition of fuel surcharges.
