PetroChina Co. Ltd. (NYSE:PTR) Thursday reported that its net profit plunged 13% previous year, even as revenue jumped up on superior crude oil output.
China’s biggest registered oil firm by output announced net profit of 115.33 billion yuan (US$18.56 billion) for the 12 months concluded Dec. 31, in contrast with CNY132.96 billion the year ago same quarter. Revenue jumped up 9.6% to CNY2.2 trillion due to hikes in the selling prices of oil products.
