Lululemon Athletica (LULU) Posts Bubbly Second Quarter Report, Lifts Outlook – LULU, NKE, UA, COH, IP, ZQK, KO, PG, PEP

Yoga and running-gear manufacturer Lululemon Athletica Inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) reported that its second-quarter earnings climbed up almost 50%, topping both company and expert estimations, and it upgraded its fiscal 2012 outlook for both earnings and sales.

The Vancouver-located firm stated that it earned $57.7 million, or 39 cents per share, in the fiscal quarter concluded on July 29, higher from last year’s similar quarter figure of $38.6 million, or 26 cents,.

Sales moved up $282.6 million in contrast to $212.3 million, in line with expert predictions of $283 million.

Lululemon (LULU) comparable store sales were 15% higher on a steady-dollar basis, the firm reported. Inventory at the conclusion of quarter came in $125.4 million, in contrast with $88.9 million at the conclusion of the year-ago same quarter.

Lululemon Athletica inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) after opening at $68.02 hit high price of $77.59 and then trading at $77.12 by surging +12.42% and on current session volume of 15.86 million shares is higher than its average volume of 2.41 million shares.
