Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) reported on Friday that Steven Guggenheimer, a vice president who manage the company’s relationships with computer manufacturers, is quitting from the post and would be substituted by Nick Parker.
Spokesperson for world’s biggest software maker Frank Shaw reported in an interview that Guggenheimer would take a sabbatical before returning to a latest role at the corporation. Parker had earlier managed marketing in the group that deals with computer manufacturers.
The change overlaps with a strategy shift poised to put Microsoft at odds with the gadget manufacturers that most extensively use its software. Microsoft reported previous week that it aims to sell tablet with own brand, becoming a competitor to its nearby partners.
