Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) on Monday sliced its growth estimation for India to 5.1% from 5.8% for the present fiscal year till March 2013, and cautioned that there is a huge risk of an even deeper growth hedging if the government is unable to get its act together and take measures to revive investments.
Morgan Stanley hedged the estimation for the coming FY to 6.1% from 6.6%.
Morgan Stanley (MS) is not the only one to decline India’s growth estimation. Lately, local ratings companies Crisil and CLSA lowered their estimations on India’s growth to 5.5%. Citibank (NYSE:C), too, has lowered the growth guidance to 5.4%.
Its competitors include Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE:GS) that surged 0.95% to $105.72 with the total traded volume of 3.27 million shares.
Other financial stocks with bullish trend include Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (ADR) (NYSE:BBVA) up 5.02% to $7.53, Banco Santander, S.A. (ADR) (NYSE:SAN) up 4.76% to $7.04 and Credit Suisse Group AG (ADR) (NYSE:CS) up 3.72% to $19.26, whereas with bearish trend include Radian Group Inc. (NYSE:RDN) down -4.27% to $3.36, Old Republic International Corporation (NYSE:ORI) down -2.38% to $8.63 and The Blackstone Group L.P. (NYSE:BX) down -1.82% to $13.49.
Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) stock’s trade at beginning with a price of $15.04 and throughout the trading session climbed at a high of $15.25 other than when day-trade ended the stock finally advanced 0.67% to $15.00.
