Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) has been moved toward few private-equity firms interested in purchasing its commodities unit, but has no interest in selling either a minority stake or the business itself, as said by a person knowledge about the matter.

CNBC earlier Wednesday reported by citing people familiar with the matter that the securities firm was considering the sale of a minority stake in the business and has spoken with potential suitors, comprising The Blackstone Group LP (NYSE:BX).

The person further stated that through Blackstone Group has no interest in acquiring or taking a minority stake in the unit.
