United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE:UPS) posted on Thursday that its Q1 profit surged 6%, but the result came in below Wall Street’s anticipations as Asian exports and other international shipments slowed.
United Parcel Service Inc., the world’s largest package corporation, posted net income increase to $970 million, or $1 a share, from $915 million, or 91 cents a share.
Revenue moved up 4.4% to $13.14 billion.
Analysts’ anticipated net income of $1.02 a share and revenue of $13.3 billion, FactSet reported.

(NASDAQ:SINO) edged up +7.19%, Forward Air Corporation (NASDAQ:FWRD) which decreased -0.96% and UTi Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ:UTIW) surged +0.60%.
