Wells Fargo & Co. (WFC) Plans to Purchase WestLB Portfolio

Wells Fargo & Co. (NYSE:WFC) intends to purchase WestLB AG’s $6 billion subscription-finance portfolio as the financial institute carries on creating its subscription-finance business. However, conditions of the deal were not revealed.

Subscription finance supplies circling and term loans and real-estate investment funds to smooth the progress of investment activities.

The subscription-finance unit would be led by previous head of WestLB’s subscription-finance group, Dee Dee Skylar. The group of 14 members would comprise of eight WestLB workers.

Its competitors include Bank of America Corp (NYSE:BAC) that slipped -3.40% to $7.67 with the total traded volume of 48.04 million shares and Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C) that dropped -4.57% to $26.71 with the total traded volume of 13.07 million shares.

(NYSE:STI) down -3.61% to $22.19, National Bank of Greece (ADR) (NYSE:NBG) down -9.50% to $1.62 and TCF Financial Corporation (NYSE:TCB) down -1.74% to $11.32.
