Yahoo, operator of the major United States Web portal, announced in an e-mailed statement Thursday that Hackers took a file on July 11 containing login records for Yahoo and other accounts, like Google Inc’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) Gmail, Microsoft Corporation’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) Hotmail and AOL, Inc (NYSE:AOL), from a Yahoo site marking user articles, videos and slideshows.
Yahoo links with the growing list of Internet corporations like Linkedin Corporation (NYSE:LNKD), CBS Corporation’s (NYSE:CBS) Last.fm music site and EHarmony Inc that have freshly had user information compromised.
