This is a Hybrid position within our IT Organization. The role will allow employees to work remotely, but will also require onsite work based on business needs. And we are proud to support our employees volunteer interests, and make it a priority to join together in efforts that give back to our communities About the Role The Asset Management Deployment Specialist is responsible for ensuring asset data quality for all IT PC, Tablet, Thin Client, Smart Scanner, Printer and Server assets in manufacturing and non-manufacturing sites by monitoring Key Performance Measures and Operational Metrics and providing appropriate data and process remediation. This person works closely with the manufacturing and innovation site teams as well as launch/ deployment teams to ensure process compliance across all asset management activities supporting all IT PC, Tablet, Thin Client, Smart Scanner, Printer and Server assets inside the 4-walls. Working closely with the Core Asset Team, this person acts as a focal point for the site teams by proposing tool improvements and communicating all asset management process and ITAM tool changes. Additional Job Description Responsibilities Ensures asset data quality for all IT PC, Tablet, Thin Client, Smart Scanner, Printer and Server assets Participates in the development and enhancements of asset management Key Performance Measures and Operational Metrics Strives toward the achievement of metric targets and any data remediation necessary Disseminates ITAM-related information to all appropriate support teams Initiates the change control process for ITAM tool enhancements Responsible for assisting in the development of high-level asset management operational processes Initiates process improvements to work group instructions Provides additional ITAM tool training to sites where needed Provides adhoc asset reporting and analysis when needed Ensures asset audit readiness Qualifications Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline preferred but not required 4-7 years of experience in asset management Self-motivated; Results driven Excellent oral and written communication skills Analytical ability to solve complex problems Detail oriented – must be able to work with comprehend and/or compile a large amount of detail from various sources Ability to track and manage a large number of open action items, and issues through to closure Strong organization skills Process improvement skills Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with other teams from all levels of business Advanced MS Excel skills About GM Our vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all.
