| Job Description : | High School Diploma, minimum of 5 years’ experience in electric transmission line construction, maintenance, inspection and/or utility construction field experienceProvides field oversight for Transmission Line Maintenance inspections primarily including: tower coating assessments and applications, underground transmission line assessments, steel structure inspections, steel structure repairs, overhead conductor inspections and any other maintenance activities deemed necessary .· Coordinates line outage requests with the Transmission Lines Construction Group· Observes contractor work in progress, checking safety, productivity, quality, progress and necessary paperwork.· Serves as the field point of contact for Comprehensive Visual Inspection contractors· Fully understands LG&E/KU’s wood pole inspection process and provides field audits of inspected poles.· Fully understands LG&E/KU’s Safety Manual and ensures safe practices are implemented by the contractors.· Provides monthly safety audits of observed contractors in the LG&E/KU database.· Communicates with property owners in regards to gaining contractor access and settling damage claims.· Verifies contractor invoices reflect the work completed.Provides project schedule updates and tracks progress within LG&E/KU’s GIS.· Acquires semi-annual infrared images of underground transmission riser structures.Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insurancePaid time offPhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:10 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Kentucky: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations |
