Give Yourself Credit, Work at Merrick!The AVP will play a vital role in driving Merrick existing customer engagement and satisfaction with the primary focus of 1) leading and working with cross-functional teams to deploy innovative line management capabilities and strategies; 2) delivering strategy guidance to improve function results and optimize key performance metrics; 3) tracking strategy performance, and continuously improving the process. The role requires analytical skills, strategic thinking, existing account and line management knowledge, and a unique ability to balance risk/rewards objectively with a customer-centric mindset.Essential Functions: Owns, designs, and manages customer request line increase strategies that balance risk mitigation, sales growth, and customer experience.Works with cross-functional teams to lead and support the build of new capabilities through omni-channels.Designs test and learn framework. Establishes ongoing review and monitoring of performance and profitability of the strategy.Researches, implements and improves business practices over time. Identifies and advocates for appropriate tools, processes, communications, or systems that can help optimize line management programs.Regularly provides presentations and discoveries to senior/executive management to assist Management strategic business planning and decision-making.Manages necessary documentation and procedures consistent with an audited environment. Responsible for overseeing functional compliance with Bank policies, audit controls, and regulatory requirements.Compliance with Laws & Regulations: Responsible for complying with all of the Bank’s internal control policies and procedures.Responsible for understanding and complying with all laws and regulations to which the Bank is subject.Responsible for communicating problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, noncompliance with laws and regulations, policy violations, or illegal acts.Education and Experience: Master’s degree in quantitative discipline such as Math, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, Statistics Machine Learning, Business Intelligence or Financial Engineering is required.Five (5) years’ analytics, statistics or equivalent experience in Credit Card Industry or Consumer Finance. Exposure in account or line management programs is preferred.Summary of Qualifications: Extensive SAS and SQL programming skills; ability to work with and analyze dataExcellent problem solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work independentlyStrong quantitative skills. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of regression analysisExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWho is Merrick Bank?
