|Job Description :||Position Description The Chief Financial Officer leads the day-to-day finance operations of the organization and provides oversight of the Accounting Staff and the functional responsibilities of the Accounting Department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting.ResponsibilitiesDirects the financial affairs of the agency, within the parameters outlined by the President and Board of DirectorsDirects and coordinates activities and staff of the accounting departmentBased on generally accepted accounting principles, establishes, implements and maintains financial objectives, policies, budgets, and projectionsPrepares and presents accurate and timely reports to the President, senior staff, board, grantors, and governmental entitiesMonthly analysis of cash flow, operational budget, investments, and all other financial aspects of the organizationAdvises management and board on needed operational adjustments due to changes in tax lawsMaintenance of capital outlay and fixed asset depreciation schedules, as well as recommendations for investment of capitalDevelops the operational budget for the organization, monitors its implementation and makes recommendations for changesPreparation of appropriate documentation required for the annual auditDevelopment, implementation and evaluation of all policies and procedures related to internal controls and financial management of the organizationStaffs the Finance Committee and works with the Treasurer of the BoardMinimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or financeMinimum four years of experience in accounting or related fieldStrong organizational and decision-making skills, analytical and problem solving abilities, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a complex, fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and short-term deadlinesStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong understanding of and ability to use Microsoft Office applications, especially ExcelPreferred Qualifications In addition to the minimum qualifications listed above:Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related fieldTwo years of supervisory experienceLicensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)Experience with nonprofits and federal/state grantsExperience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and Andar SoftwareSalary StatementSalary will be commensurate with experience.Range: $55,000 to 65,000To ApplyThis position will remain open until filled.
