| Job Description : | Position Scope: The Controller has oversight of general and property accounting, cash management and accounts payable ensuring the company accounting procedures conform to GAAP. Responsible for the company’s financial policies and procedures, its accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. The Controller analyzes and interprets financial data and recommends changes to improve systems, processes and financial performance. The Controller implements short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures created in tandem with the CFO. Major Responsibilities: Maintains the company’s system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets. Provide effective financial controls throughout the organization and is responsible for driving process improvement and systems integration. Gathers accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget. Prepare and assist in the analysis of monthly expense and P&L reports. Participates in the integration of acquired businesses Recommends benchmarks for measuring the financial performance of major divisions and departments within the company. Prepares financial reports and presents findings and recommendations to Senior Management as requested Qualifications & Requirements: Strong leader and people manager Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA preferred. 5+ years of experience in corporate financial management required, with 7+ years preferred. Proven experience with FASB and GAAP standards Collaborator, able to work with department managers and corporate team. Self-driven, able to operate autonomously |
