This position will report to the CFO and VP of Finance & Accounting and will focus on annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, ROI modeling for new ventures, and other ad hoc related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the start-up environment and have a proven track record of managing multiple priorities at once to support and fulfill the strategic objectives of a highly cross functional organization.Job Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance and conditions. Prepare variance analysis and trend analysis.Update weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual operations and financial performance reports for senior management and board of directors.Construct and present analysis (oral and written) that explains budget and forecast variances. Propose corrective actions when negative variances are identified.Proactively identify budget/forecast risk/opportunities and ways to mitigate or capitalize upon them.Collaborate with top management to prepare financial projections, business planning, and financial analysis. Investigate and validate assumptions and support for the projections.Build financial models for sensitivity/ scenario/ strategic/ ROI analyses, contingency planning, and other studies that assist management in effective strategic and financial decision-making.Manage, maintain and continuously improve financial models used in the consolidation of the corporate forecasting and planning process.Perform regular benchmarking and competitive analysis of financial and operational measures.Recommend and implement best practices in the area of financial planning & analysis.All other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Five or more years of progressively responsible experienceThree plus years of experience in a financial analyst position with increasing responsibilitiesManagement experienceKnowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information.Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.Thorough knowledge and experience with MS Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Experience building and maintaining financial models in Excel.Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration required.Strong written and verbal communication skillsDetail orientedLIMITATIONS AND DISCLAIMERThe above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.
