Job Description : | Job Title: Director Transportation Finance Department: Corporate Supply Chain – Transportation Reports to: VP, Transportation Location: Cranbury, NJ Position Overview: This role will provide financial leadership and data driven insights as we continue to expand the scope and complexity of the L’Oréal logistics network. The Director will manage continuous improvement projects across multiple teams focused on the enhancement of financial visibility and controllership working fast and smart in an environment of high ambiguity. This role will also provide the business with think-big leadership bringing a deep analytical skill set and a proven record of delivering results. Key Responsibilities: Analytics: Building complex financial models and analytical tools to support ongoing business evaluation Establish financial governance models to evaluate and support new business ventures Root cause analysis and uncover core issues using data, then driving the network improvement Develop financial metrics based on statistical modeling and simulation techniques to audit initiatives Reporting: Collect, analyze and manage quantitative data and create meaningful reports to lead business improvement and cost reductions Facilitating regular financial reviews with functional and business leadership Own weekly, monthly, quarterly and ah-hoc financial reporting and forecast / budget development and presentation Process Ownership: Work with finance, accounting, technology teams to create financial processes to support new logistics capabilities and improved controllership Inspire data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely Providing financial oversight and controllership related to both external providers and internal business processes Budget / trend modeling at a granular level Continuously monitor freight payment process to ensure adherence to internal controls Lead transportation finance cost savings and process improvement related projects Validate financial impact of initiatives and track delivery of value creation to commitments Qualifications and Educational Background Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Supply Chain, or similar discipline Minimum 10 years of work experience High degree of financial and analytical aptitude Ability to access and synthesize large data sets will be crucial for success in this role Exceptionally strong Excel and MS office skills, data visualization competency preferred Experience of SAP or similar ERP Strong interpersonal and people management skills Exquisite written and oral communication skills combined with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
