Job Description : | Environmental Operations, Inc – Due Diligence Project ManagerWe are looking for a Due Diligence Project Manager to join our due diligence team. The primary role of the Due Diligence Project Manager is assessing environmental sites by performing Phase I Environmental Site Inspection (ESAs). Activities include performing property inspections, reviewing and interpreting historical data, reviewing regulatory data, and performing site interviews to determine if the site has been impacted by recognized environmental conditions (RECs). Recommendations will be compiled into a Phase I ESA report to be delivered to a client. The project manager will need to possess strong written and verbal communication skills.Some business development will be required in the form or client management and ongoing communication.The due diligence project manager will also assist Senior Engineers/PMs with regulatory compliance projects. Project participation will vary depending on schedule and training. These projects may include activities associated with Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and inspections, BMP inspections, stormwater sampling and NPDES activities, opacity readings, assisting with Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plan preparation, regulatory reporting, etc. These activities may involve field work.Qualifications: Has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies or a related fieldHas 3-5+ years of experience in environmental consultingMust possess a current, valid driver’s licenseHas strong written and verbal communication skillsExtremely organized and task orientedExcellent communication skillsThe willingness and availability to travel overnight approximately 35% of the timePreferred Qualifications:Experience as a Phase I ESA project managerCurrent HAZWOPER and ACM Inspectors Licensure, desiredExperience with communicating with regulatory agenciesResponsibilities: Managing ESA Inspections and Reports in compliance with regulatory standards including, but not limited to:Coordinating with clients and any associated parties for site inspection activitiesUtilizing site observation, regulatory and historical data, site interviews and previous inspections to determine environmental conditions associated with the siteMaintaining compliance with ASTM standardsCompiling documentation, notes, and reports on safety or environmental concernsBuilding relationships with external stakeholders, including but not limited to:County and City GovernmentsState AgenciesEPARealtorsEnvironmental Lawyers and ConsultantsDevelopersMaintaining ongoing communication with clients to update them on the progress of assessmentsManaging and meeting strict project deadlinesPreparing reports with summaries and recommendations to the clientsCoordinating with Phase II and Environmental Health and Safety departments to address potential recommendations made in the ESA reportSalary and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. Our salary range for this position is between $45,000 and $55,000 annually dependent on experience and capacity. We offer weekly pay and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
