A hedge fund in New York City is actively seeking a dedicated and hardworking professional to join their staff as their new Finance & Accounting Manager. In this role, the Finance & Accounting Manager will provide a range of support activities and act as a liaison between accounting & finance and the investor relations team.
Responsibilities
The Finance & Accounting Manager will be responsible for:
Maintaining and reconciling the firm’s internal Advent Geneva accounting system to the Fund Administrator
Maintaining books and records for the management company and working with a service provider for the preparation of the UK sub-manager’s books and records
Assisting in the month-end close/reconciliation process with the Fund Administrator
Assisting with the review and reconciliation of regulatory reporting, consisting of Form PF and CPO-PQR
Assisting in year-end audits and tax preparation, including financial statements and taxreturns/K-1s
Managing the accounts payable
Managing expense allocations between funds and managers
Working closely with the CFO on various compliance tasks
Qualifications
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting
3-6+ years of experience at a Big 4 CPA firm or fund administrator focusing on hedge fund clients
CPA
Knowledge of Advent Geneva
Knowledge of Quickbooks
Interest in fixed income products, such as government bonds, bond futures, and swaps.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented
Ability to multitask
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Desired skills
