Job Description : Junior Financial AdvisorWe are seeking a professional and ambitious Junior Financial Advisor to acquire and deepen relationships with clients by providing comprehensive financial planning and advice to help individuals and families pursue their finance goals. As a Junior Financial Advisor with METRO Financial Strategies, you will work one-on-one with clients to develop individually tailored financial plans comprised of personalized investment products and services. You will also provide ongoing assistance through services that help clients accumulate wealth and safeguard their assets.Additional tasks of the Junior Financial Advisor include:Identifying and developing new business through existing and potential clientsStaying up-to-date with new investment products and market trendsSpecial projects assignedAssisting Principal with servicing clientsInteracting daily on the phone and in person with prospective and existing clients by handling basic inquiries and client servicesBuilding relationships with clientsMaintaining databases and creating reports using portfolio and financial planning software programsAssisting with marketing efforts such as seminars, advertising, and client appreciationNetworking and helping the continued growth of the company by being part of the communityEntering trades in the systemServicing less active accountsResearching client and security information through back office systemProcessing and following up on client documentation for proper maintenance of accountsPreparing financial planning documents and reports for client reviewsJob ResponsibilitiesAs a Junior Financial Advisor with METRO Financial Strategies, you will evaluate clients’ financial needs, current holdings and available investment capital to help them identify their investment objectives. You will also monitor client portfolios and make recommendations that are consistent with changes in economic and finance markets and take into account clients’ needs and objectives.Additional responsibilities of the Junior Financial Advisor include:Participating in training and development to continually improve your ability to provide the best advice and service for clientsPreparing and delivering clear, effective and professional presentationsEthical behaviorFollowing METRO Financial Strategies, Raymond James and FINRA rules, policies and proceduresJob RequirementsAs a Junior Financial Advisor with Raymond James, you must possess superb verbal communication skills as well as leadership and training skills to occasionally direct the work of administrative employees. Our ideal Junior Financial Advisor demonstrates an excellent work ethic, applies effective listening and questioning techniques to identify client needs and uses mathematics sufficiently to analyze numerical data, ratios among percentages and rates of change in trend analysis. You must also have strong working knowledge of economic and accounting principles as well as the financial market.Please note: Candidates must be willing to be trained and do the work as a Financial Administrator in the office before acting as a Financial Advisor. We are willing to consider candidates that are not licensed and interested in learning for two years before going through the license process.Additional requirements for the Junior Financial Advisor include:Minimum 2 years sales experience in the business industryValid Series 7 and Series 66Life, Health and Variable Annuity license or ability to obtain license within 3 months of employmentClean CRD/U4 recordWorking knowledge of technology and software planning tools sufficient to analyze and report financial dataProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteBachelor’s degree; Master’s degree or related professional certification a plusPrevious production minimum of $100,000 or assets under management of $15,000,000 preferredBusiness AttireInvestment assets are required to be held in Raymond James AccountsBenefitsWe understand that our employees work hard, so we offer a benefit program to help you achieve a successful work life balance.
