Our physicians and employees provide exceptional services which consistently meet the needs and expectations of physicians and their patients.JOB TITLE Financial Data Analyst and Assistant Practice ManagerGENERAL JOB OVERVIEWThis position is responsible for assisting with financial planning, financial management, data analysis, projections, and record keeping, as well as financial reporting to the officers, directors, and shareholders. In concert with and under the direction of the chief operating officer (COO), this position assists with business leadership and operations in laboratory relations, business development, marketing, client services, billing, coverage scheduling, workload recording, general office duties, and other management needs of Utah PathologyServices, Inc. (UPSI).RESPONSIBILITIES THIS POSITION WILL SUPPORT OfficeManage physicians’ scheduling software.Collect, organize, and distribute corporate correspondence (mail, e-mail, fax, etc.).Answer phone calls and return voicemails.Manage and invoice vendors for services provided by UPSI.Ensure adequate supply chain for office and client supplies.File and organize UPSI office documents.Assist with gathering information or documents from providers.Ensure HIPAA compliance.Assist in managing other UPSI office responsibilities in absence of theCOO.FinanceEvaluate and monitor financial data from billing office and other entities.Assist in preparation of financial reports.Identify financial trends, concerns, and opportunities.Assist in developing and monitoring budgets.Assist in financial forecasting.BillingEvaluate monthly billing and trend reports, identify concerns, and make recommendations to the COO.Participate on billing-related conference calls, as needed.Log and file payments from contracted hospital systems.Work with billing personnel in clinic offices and laboratory clients to assure adequate flow of billing information and resolution of problem cases.Obtain missing documentation information from referring offices to resubmit claims.Resolve patient calls related to billing issues.File and track payments for consult services.Assist in monthly and annual reconciliation of billing.Help manage time logs and invoices on dashboard application or other approved software.Assist in keeping payer contract information current.Remain current on compliance regulations and practices.OTHER POTENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESLaboratory RelationsDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with staff of client offices and laboratories.Represent UPSI professionally in interactions with laboratory staff.Business DevelopmentAssist in developing UPSI business plan.Assist in creating business develpment reports to provide to UPSI shareholders.MarketingAssist in keeping UPSI marketing materials up to dateAssist in developing UPSI marketing plan.Assist in marketing UPSI to potential clients.Client ServicesAssist in resolving client concernsWork professionally with UPSI clients.REPORTINGThe position reports to the COO for day-to-day work responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred, in business administration, data analytics, accounting, healthcare administration, or related field.Database management and Excel skills required.Medical experience preferred; pathology practice experience preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.Positive attitude and team player required.Client service experience preferred.
