| Job Description : | Job Summary: The Financial Analyst supports finance and operational departments with budgeting/forecasting, cost saving initiatives, variance reporting analysis, customer profitability, ad-hoc research and departmental projects, financial modeling, and various monthly close processes. The Financial Analyst prepares the monthly P&L and operating statements, performs general ledger reconciliation, and manages incentive compensation plans among numerous other duties. Additionally, be detail-oriented, dedicate business partner, have strong problem-solving skills, and an investigative nature.Duties/Responsibilities: Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics trackingAnalyze financial data and create financial models for decision supportReport on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviewsAnalyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvementsWork closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reportingEvaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecastsProvide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimizationRecommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materialsIdentify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboardsIncrease productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting toolsPerforms other related duties as necessary or assignedRequired Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level managementStrong financial modeling experienceAbility to streamline functions and passion to learn and growStrong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skillsComfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independentlyExperience working with, and presenting to, senior executivesAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficient in NetSuite, SAGE, SAP or other ERP SystemAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Suites, particularly Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, ERP retrieve tools, etc).Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics requiredMaster’s degree preferredThree-five years or more of related experience requiredPrivate Equity experienced preferredCPA designation preferredSuccess in this role and with SJV Data Solutions comes through consistent effort, a competitive spirit, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn and grow.
