We are looking for an enthusiastic Financial Counselor Collector to help us reach our goals. Unlock your potential! Job Summary and Qualifications As the Financial Counselor Collector you will counsel patients on their financial obligations, collect payments and set up payment arrangements, work out settlements, assist with price quotes and other financial related questions, work with physicians’ offices as needed to resolve patient financial issues, provide charity applications when appropriate, work assigned accounts from the self-pay web-tool, analyze accounts to resolve patient questions, concerns or complaints. In this role: You will interview patients for all pertinent account information and verifies insurance coverage, ensuring charts are completed and accurate. You will verify all insurance and obtain precertification/authorization. You will calculate and collect patient liable amounts, ensuring that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatments. Qualifications: Prefer one year of collection experience. Knowledge of Medical Terminology. Knowledge of Anatomy. Effective Communication and Computer Skills.
