| Job Description : | Budget Analyst Responsibilities Budget analyst oversees financial spending to ensure that funds are allocated appropriately and used according to plan. They help to maintain records and create reports while working to analyze data and validate funding for various regions. Analyst submits the budget summaries to senior management for budgeting decisions. Primary duties include: Manage day to day spending vs budgetCoordinate with regional representatives for completeness, accuracy, and preparation of regional reviewsSupporting budget formulation efforts by developing, managing, and maintaining spreadsheetsUnderstand and explain budget variancesConsolidating regional budget for reviewPreparing daily, weekly, monthly and adhoc reportsHelp present financial data, progress, and performance metrics information for briefings and other presentations Education & Skills Required:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalentExperience with budget/ forecasting techniquesExperience monitoring data and providing performance metricsExperience supporting stakeholders and budget managers to make informed decisions at the strategic and organizational levelsProficiency working across Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skillsGeneral knowledge of Project Management methodologiesAbility to work with a team to solve complex problems and consider proposed solutionsAbility to effectively communicate with all parties in written and oral form |
