We bring a 30-year commitment of mortgage industry talent, insight, experience, and industry knowledge to financial institutions tackling today’s industry defining challenges associated with regulatory and compliance issues, digital marketing, mortgage manufacturing, secondary market and due diligence allowing SCA to measure its success by our client’s success.Principal Responsibilities: SCA currently seeks an experienced HMDA Mortgage Compliance Analyst with key competencies to perform the following duties and responsibilities in a remote work environment:· HMDA Analyst is responsible for the review of all residential, consumer and commercial (small business) loan data for examination and reporting purposes allowing our clients the ability to submit a clean LAR of HMDA and CRA loans as required by CFPB.· Assure the accuracy of HMDA data through a sampling and testing process, referring to the original loan documents scanned into the electronic storage facilities for data verification.· Analyze all HMDA reportable loans and fair lending data including review of source documents to provide our clients with a clean LAR. The analyst will review logs and documentation associated with the HMDA Loan Application Register (LAR).· Perform a review of fair lending attributes including adverse action of denied/withdrawn files including exceptions to underwriting guidelines and mitigating factors.· Works with client’s business units to identify and resolve data integrity issues.· Works with client’s business units to identify and resolve processes and procedural issues related to data integrity.· Creates charts/graphs/color coding of analysis results and follows up with client’s business units to ensure corrective action identified has been corrected within client’s LOS systems.· Assists with remediation/corrective action stemming from prior exam findings or internally identified regulatory findings for resubmission of client’s LARs.· Provides timely and appropriate feedback to HMDA clients.This position requires advanced mortgage compliance knowledge and proven problem solving and decision-making skills. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to participate in time sensitive projects and enjoy a high level of client interaction.Minimum Qualifications: · College degree preferred with minimum 3-5 years of specialized HMDA-LAR experience.· Recent mortgage professional experience (minimum 3-5 years) with a proficiency in the areas of underwriting, closing or compliance may be substituted.· Highly proficient with LOS systems such as Encompass, MortgageBot loan origination software.· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel spreadsheet knowledge.· Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.· Ability to collaborate with internal team members and external clients.· Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal/external contacts and the ability to meet sensitive timelines is essential.Job Type: Full-timePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Fair Housing regulations: 1 year (Preferred)Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: Remote
