An Internal Wholesaler at COUNTRY Financial builds strong relationships with reps to drive sales of Life and Investment solutions for our Core Clients by providing product expertise on a variety of financial services, such as life insurance, investments and annuities.
You will work in a team environment to promote, educate and demonstrate the variety of products, solutions and concepts to our reps through product training sessions, answering product questions, preparing proposals for clients, and running various scenarios to meet client needs. Our team helps reps understand the complexities of financial services and how to find solutions for our clients.
You will partner with internal home office teams and with external teams in the field to coordinate activities through your working knowledge of your geographic market, products/services and how they compare to the industry, and marketing campaigns. May provide wholesalers/product specialists with telephone, administrative, and sales support.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is based out of our corporate offices in Bloomington, IL.
How does an Internal Wholesaler make an impact?
Maintain relationships with internal and external partners to supply sales ideas, provide technical information on product-specific questions, identify sales opportunities, and assist in launching new products.
Aligns tactics and develops strategy with production goals of the operating companies and agency administration. Develops and maintains relationships with assigned intermediaries.
Promote product sales by distributor and explain product features and service capabilities of the company, provide sales ideas and competitive analysis, and train distributors. Assists with preparation of proposals and administrative follow-up with policy/account management. Receives internal correspondence and makes outbound calls to producers and distributors in support of sales and marketing activities.
Identifies client needs and coordinates efforts to service assigned intermediaries. Conducts sales promotion and product training meetings for assigned intermediaries and existing or prospective policyholders/accountholders.

Do you have what we’re looking for?
Ability to work in team environment and maintain great experience for our reps.
Strong teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of financial services, life insurance, investments, and/or financial planning.
FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 6 and 63 and life/health licensed (or obtained within 6-9 months of hire).
2+ years of experience in the financial services or related industry.
Typically requires bachelor’s degree and no experience (or equivalent, such as 2 years of financial services industry or sales experience).
