Job Description : About the RoleWe are looking for a seasoned Credit Risk Analyst who is data-driven and has strong analytical & technical skills. In this role, you will report to our Director of Credit Risk and lead the team in developing risk policies and strategies for our secured credit card (Credit Builder) and other related products that help build credit scores for our members. You’ll work closely with product, data engineering, machine learning, and analytics teams and will interact with business stakeholders across many departments.For Colorado based roles: In accordance with applicable law, this role has an annual starting salary of $172,000 plus bonus, a competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.In this role, you can expect toBe responsible for end to end risk management of Credit Builder and other initiatives that help build member’s credit scoresDevelop and refine credit policies to support delinquent account management, write offs and bankruptcies. Work with credit furnishing and bank partners to implement these policiesProficient level of knowledge about credit reporting and the legal guidelines of Bankruptcy. Experienced in leveraging resources to confirm or update knowledge with any process that is heavily regulated by government laws, rules, or regulationsCollaborate with XFN teams to manage all financial risks associated with credit builder including force posts, synthetic accounts, incentives and cash back rewardsCollaborate with various data teams to build data infrastructure and reporting dashboards that help understand Credit Builder risk trendsSupport evaluation of financial risk related to integration of other credit products like SpotMe on credit builder, loan access for credit builder rewards customersLeverage external and internal Chime data to track effectiveness of credit builder in improving members scores and ability to obtain creditTo thrive in this role, you haveA Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Finance, or other quantitative disciplines; a Master’s degree with a quantitative focus is a plus5+ years of analytical experience in Financial Services, preferably at a FinTech company2+ years of experience leading projects with deep expertise in building and managing risk strategies of various credit products like loans, lines of credit, credit cards etc.,.Experience with credit furnishing, bankruptcies, delinquency and write off policiesHands-on detail-oriented leader with exceptional communication skills.Excellent SQL programming skills, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, experience in Python (or R or SAS or similar language) and working in Looker or a similar business intelligence toolAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and exceed ambitions deadlines while ensuring flawless completionA strong passion for Chime’s mission and solving challenging analytical problems for the businessA little about usWe created Chime because we believe everyone deserves financial peace of mind.
