Job Description : Eaton’s eMobility Division is currently seeking a Lead FP&A Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Southfield, MI, Beachwood, OH, Marshall, MI or Galesburg, MI location. Relocation assistance is offered for this role.
Position Overview:
Eaton’s eMobility team has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst who will play an integral role in providing Corporate, Sector, and Business Unit management with reliable financial analysis to make decisions impacting the financial performance of the corporation. This role, reporting to the Finance Planning and Analysis Manager, is a highly visible role with international exposure and will be instrumental in shaping how we measure business performance, automate reporting & analysis, and support questions from key stakeholders.
In this function you will:
Prepare, review and analyze financial forecasts, operating budgets and strategic plans.
Key contributor to the eMobility consolidated commentary and variance analysis following each month-end and rolling forecast.
Provide in depth analysis on financial performance and root cause variances to forecasts to leadership.
Leads consolidation of monthly capital spend and forecast for eMobility division, including variance analysis.
Leads weekly sales and profit flashes with manufacturing sites and regional controllers
Key contributor to the eMobility annual Profit Plan process.
Report progress of the business toward the monthly established goals, giving the management team the first line of reporting to trends in the marketplace.
Meets all monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting deadlines. Effectively communicates results to ensure timely and effective decision making.
Perform additional responsibilities and adhoc reporting as necessary

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics from an accredited institution.
Minimum three (3) years’ combined work experience in Accounting and/or Finance
Minimum one (1) year work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2) years financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment.
Graduate degree desirable, as well as CPA or CMA accreditation
Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse, Hyperion Enterprise, Hyperion Financial Manager (HFM)
Position Success Criteria:
Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
Strong understanding and ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret financial analyses/reports.
Broad general product and business knowledge in order to adequately interpret operating results.
Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
Detail and deadline-oriented, with ability to multi-task
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Able to work well with people across multiple functions
Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel & Powerpoint).
Proficient with Oracle and ENCORE reporting systems
