WE ARE LOOKING FOR A LEAD MANAGER OPERATIONS FINANCE – REPORTING & INSIGHTS
SENIORITY LEVEL: Junior Level

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
This role is part of Marketing – Finance Corporate Finance
The R&I Manager for New Categories will own all Analytics & Insights related to the Vapor and Modern Oral categories. This will include, but not limited to, monthly review of the financials, COS & variance analysis vs CoPlan, SOP, prior year(s) as well as providing forward looking guidance to FLT and OLT members. This role will work to identify potential savings & efficiency opportunities across the traditional categories by analyzing current and future procurement opportunities, reviewing standard costing for accuracy, providing guidance on product mix impact as well as other business drivers such as FX and regulatory changes. This role will be a key contributor to establishing forecast accuracy, driving financial literacy as well as providing training to financial peers and business partners. They will also need to partner with GBS on standardizing reporting, simplifying the agenda and optimizing the financial review process.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Own all New Category COS analytics including building the COS waterfall
Manage and consolidate all updates on War Chest and Sensitivity
Responsible for forecasting and updating variable COS rates in BPC
Build presentations to review financials with FLT and OLT members
Present updates to Leadership as well as peers
Manage the monthly SOP and S&I engagement process including reviewing with core members
Communicate (to functional owners) and manage timelines for key deliverables
Manage CoPlan process for updating BPC with right standards and targets
Provide training on COS to new employees as well as new team members
Become the SME for New Category Product costing
Partner with the greater finance team on special projects or other ad hoc requests
Build up strong connections with Manufacturing, Product, Demand and the CP&A team
If managing people, teach, mentor, and build up a strong team of future leaders
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
At least 1 to 2 years of work or relevant experience including, but not limited to, participation in monthly SOP process
Strong financial literacy
Solid written and verbal communications skills including ability to influence senior stakeholders
Strong Excel skills
Ability to analyze and draw insights out of financial data
A high sense of urgency and work ethic
Be detail oriented and reliable
Be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, with the expectation of working as a motivated and cooperative team member
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to utilize PowerPoint to build and deliver presentations a plus
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably with Finance and/or Accounting specialization
