In this newly created position, the M&A Associate will work closely with the Strategy and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) teams to (i) lead initial new deal evaluation; (ii) drive day-to-day deal process execution; and (iii) collaborate closely with senior leadership on all matters related to M&A and post-merger integration.Role Description & Responsibilities:Working closely with the Vice President, Strategy and Chief Corporate Development Officer, serve as a key driver of the internal M&A deal team, including new deal evaluation, due diligence, and post-merger integration planningEvaluate initial information received from potential acquisition targets and drive determinations on business fit and valuationDraft and communicate questions to potential acquisition targetsAnalyze and summarize information in order to make recommendations to the senior leadership team on valuation and strategyEstablish standard frameworks, scorecards, key questions and information requests for acquisition evaluationServe as the point person for day-to-day M&A process coordination and execution, working directly with acquisition targets, the internal Executive Management team, and third-party advisorsCoordinate and lead leadership team meetings to track progress against active and pipeline M&A opportunitiesCommitment to customer service throughout all work both externally with acquisition targets and internally with key stakeholdersClose coordination with the Executive Leadership Team on a day-to-day basisThe M&A Associate will sit in The Stepping Stones Group’s fast-growing Strategy Office, and report directly to the Vice President, Strategy. You will also coordinate on a day-to-day basis with the CEO, Chief Development Officer, CFO, and Business Unit Presidents.Preferred Candidate Background:3+ years of experience in investment banking and/or private equityAt least 1-2 years of experience specifically in mergers and acquisitionsStrong analytical thinkingExcellent written and oral communication skillsProven problem-solving skill setDeep experience analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing data to drive business decisionsSkilled in coordinating and executing long-term projectsTeam player who excels in a collaborative environmentJob Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $145,000.00 – $150,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: Multiple Locations |
