The Opportunity:

FE International is looking for an Associate to help manage and coordinate the Origination and Onboarding process for new clients from valuation through to listing.

The associate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting information from potential new clients necessary to provide a valuation for their business. The analyst will collect and review relevant financial information, ask relevant questions to the seller and work collaboratively with the Valuation Team to provide the seller with an accurate valuation. Good communication is key to the role with FE International’s clients being based all around the world and coming from a variety of backgrounds with different motivations for selling their business.

Over time, the associate will begin to establish and build relationships with new and existing clients as well as play an active role in the wider business development activities of the company.

Responsibilities:

Gathering information about a business from potential clients;
Reviewing documentation provided by clients with basic analysis of financials, metrics and operations required;
Working collaboratively with other internal teams at other parts of the M&A process, such as the Valuation Team
Assisting in the creation of marketing materials to help the client understand FE processes;
Assisting in the preparation of basic legal documents for the onboarding process; and
Helping to identify potential new clients within existing database of clients and elsewhere.

Required Skills:

Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with clients in a professional manner;
Ability to analyze profit & loss statements, balance sheets and communicate insights, patterns, and trends concisely;
Extensive Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word experience;
Strong problem-solving capability and analytical skills;
Exceptionally detail-oriented with an aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative solutions;
Resourceful self-starter, able to work under pressure and manage time effectively; and
Ability to lead a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously.

Experience and Education:

Previous experience working with high value clients;
Basic understanding of the M&A process is preferred;
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, economics, finance, or equivalent;
ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CFA (or equivalent industry certifications preferred);
Analyst 2 experience preferred.
